Cinnamon Marshmallow Treats with Cinnamon Glaze

Cinnamon Marshmallow Krispie Treats with Cinnamon Glaze
Reminiscent of Sunday morning cinnamon rolls, the treats themselves bring a cinnamony flavor, but its the glaze that takes them over the top.

1/4 cup butter (we use Earth Balance Butter Substitute)
1 pkg marshmallows (larger package - about 7 cups)
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon (I used a generous teaspoon)
6 cups Puffed Rice

Glaze:
2/3 cup powdered sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla
1 Tbs + 1 tsp milk (we used rice milk)

Spray a 9x13-inch pan lightly with cooking spray and set aside.
Measure the puffed rice into a large bowl.  Also, set aside.

Set a large saucepan on the stove over medium to medium low heat.  Add the butter and then the marshmallows.  Continue to heat over low heat until everything is melted.  Add the cinnamon and stir to combine.

Pour the melted marshmallow mixture over the cereal mixture, quickly stirring well to evenly coat the cereal.  Moving quickly, pour the cereal mixture into the prepared pan and evenly press into the pan.

To prepare the glaze place the powdered sugar, vanilla and milk (or milk alternative) into a small bowl.  Whisk until smooth adding additional milk or sugar as necessary to reach your desired consistency (we like ours fairly thick).  Drizzle glaze over treats, then set aside to set.

When glaze is set, cut a small strip from one side of the pan (short side).  Pull out the strip.  Using a spatula carefully work the rest of the treats out of the pan and onto a cutting board.  Cut into desired shapes and enjoy!

Liv Life Note:  Liv wants it noted that the "allowing the glaze to set" part of the directions is purely optional...
